YOUR MADE-TO-MEASURE SHIRTS AT DIRECT WORKSHOP PRICES

What is a workshop price?

Since 2006, TailorGeorge has designed and made made-to-measure shirts sold directly online.

Driven by a strong entrepreneurial culture, we have gradually integrated the entire value chain of our business, from ordering shirts in our online shop to making them in our workshop.

We own our sewing workshop and photography studio, and develop our online sales tools in-house. Our pattern-making team creates the patterns, and we use advanced cutting tools for highly efficient production. Over the years, we have built close relationships with leading European weavers, which now give us very favourable prices when replenishing our fabrics.

This organisation allows us to limit middlemen, stocks of finished products and traditional distribution costs.

The result: a made-to-measure shirt, made to order, at a price often lower than a ready-to-wear shirt of comparable quality.

Why are our prices lower?

Direct sales
You order your shirt directly from TailorGeorge, without a network of shops or intermediary distributors.
Our own workshop
We directly control the making and pattern-making of our shirts.
No stock of finished shirts
Every shirt is made to order. We stock fabrics, not thousands of finished shirts.
Fabrics bought directly from weavers
After nearly twenty years in business, we work with many European weavers and buy our fabrics directly, without middlemen.

Save up to 60%

A TailorGeorge shirt generally costs between £55 and £79, including tax, depending on the fabric chosen.

Its price does not fund a network of shops or a succession of middlemen. It mainly covers the fabric, manufacturing, logistics, customer service and website operations.

Made-to-measure still costs more to produce

A made-to-measure shirt takes longer and costs more to make than a mass-produced shirt:

MANUFACTURING TIME
90–150 minvs 40–60 min in mass production

The manufacturing cost of a made-to-measure shirt, produced individually, is at least twice that of a mass-produced shirt.

FABRIC REQUIRED
1.8 mvs 1.65 m in mass production

On average, per shirt. Cutting multiple shirts at once allows more efficient pattern placement.

The 3-shirt multi-buy offer: £14 off each shirt

Grouping several shirts in one order allows us to reduce processing, transport and logistics costs.

We pass these savings directly on to you: buy 3 shirts or more and receive £14 off each shirt all year round, excluding the Outlet collection.

Outlet: the last lengths from leading weavers

Our Outlet collection comes from the last lengths and remaining pieces from leading European weavers.

Only individual made-to-measure production can offer you these fabrics. Mass production cannot be launched with such small lengths of fabric.

You can therefore enjoy fabrics available in very small quantities at a single price of £50 per made-to-measure shirt, while the fabric lasts.
